Destiny Gates is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is the author of the Tweenie Girls Hygiene Guide. She is also the author of the Hot Freshman Fifteen Series. The Hot Freshman 15 Series is based on the experiences of fifteen high school freshman girls placed on list by a group of boys at Rose school. Rose high school is based in Chicago, Illinois. The series is broken down into fifteen books based on the experiences on high school girls. The issues addressed in this series include bullying, self esteem, body image, gender issues, class issues, standards of beauty, and cross cultural friendship issues.
